The MVSD Board of Trustees is seeking applications for nomination for the Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) Student Citizenship Award. The George Harbottle Memorial Award, sponsored by the Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM), will be selected from amongst the regional MSBA Student Citizenship award winners. The deadline to submit applications to the MVSD Board of Trustees has been extended to January 22, 2021. The Board will then nominate one student from our division and submit their name to MSBA. With the return to classes on Monday, January 18th, any loaned laptops should be returned on the student's first day back. The loaned laptop and charging cord can be returned to the main office of your school. Students remaining in remote learning through to spring break, or DRCSS students who signed loan contracts in September, will not need to return their laptops at this time.
There has been no announced change from the Province regarding the plan for Grades 7-12 students to return to in-class learning on Monday, January 18. We look forward to welcoming Grades 7-12 students back to class on Monday (remote learning options will continue for Grades 7 & 8). Dec. 2: The MB government announced that students in Gr. 7 to 12 will move to remote learning for a two-week period from Jan. 4 to 15. Optional remote learning will also be available to kindergarten to Grade 6 students during this period should families wish to keep their children at home following the holiday break. More information will be provided by MVSD and schools in the coming days. Click on the above link for the full news release.
Mountain View School Division has released its 2019-2020 Community Report, which highlights progress made towards the 2016-2021 Division Plan. Electronic and/or printed copies of the report will be distributed to families via schools. Printed copies will also be available upon request at local schools and the Division Office.
