Young Humanitarian Club

The Young Humanitarian Club is off and running for another year. YHC is a club open to grade 7 and 8 students who work to make the world a better place by helping others. The club meets every Tuesday at 12:20.

Throughout the year, students learn about global issues. They then use this knowledge to plan events, fundraisers, service work, etc. to help address needs in Roblin and beyond. A few of our past activities have included: packing food for the food bank, working with the Hero Club, making various items for seniors (seasonal décor, placemats for Meals on Wheels, etc.) touring homeless shelters, and volunteering at soup kitchens. Currently, we are sponsoring the We Scare Hunger campaign to collect food for the Roblin Food Bank. Food will be collected until Nov. 1.

If any students are interested in joining the club and haven’t already done so, please feel free to speak to Mrs. Graham or Mrs. Mailhot.
